B day. On March 9, 1959, Barbara Millicent Roberts was “born”.  Barbie® was introduced to the world at the American International Toy Fair in New York as a “teenage fashion model”, and in the years since, she has indeed become the world’s most renowned fashion model.  Happy 54th birthday, Barbie®!

Birthday girl. On March 9, 1959, Barbara Millicent Roberts was born.  Barbie was introduced to the world at the American International Toy Fair in New York as a “teenage fashion model”, and in the years since, she has indeed become the world’s most renowned fashion model.  She has taken on a couple different careers, as well.  Barbie is an accomplished actress, gymnast, ballet dancer, architect, computer engineer, astronaut, teacher, fashion designer…and so on. And she looks darned good for 53!!! Happy birthday Barbie!
